The widow of the late actor Lance Reddick enjoyed a quiet and humble life with the Hollywood star for nearly 25 years before his tragic death at age 60.
Their low-key 2011 wedding in Minnesota typified their modest lifestyle, which came more than 12 years after they met while he was performing at a theater where she worked.
Despite starring in numerous blockbusters, most recently John Wick 4, Reddick apparently enjoyed an unassuming relationship with his spouse.
While her co-stars splurged on lavish ceremonies, Stephanie insisted on just two rules. “One was that everyone had to have fun,” she said, according to mspmag.
‘And the other was that Lance couldn’t see my dress before I walked down the aisle. That was it.’
Lance Reddick and his wife Stephanie got married in 2011, more than a decade after they met. They appear together at the White House Down premiere in 2013.

The couple first met at Minnesota’s Gurthrie Theater in 1999, where Stephanie was working while Lance was performing in a play.
Stephanie, who was Lance’s second wife, shared two children with the late actor, Yvonne and Christopher.
She has made numerous red carpet appearances over the years as her husband starred in hits like White House Down, The Blacklist, and Godzilla vs Kong.
And while they spent most of their days in their swanky $2.5 million mansion in Los Angeles, the couple decided to tie the knot in Minnesota to pay homage to their humble roots.
After an opulent Hollywood ceremony, they opted for the Midwestern state because it was where they had their first meeting in 1999 while Stephanie was working on the set of the Gurthrie Theatre.
Opting for an intimate ceremony among close friends, Stephanie’s low-key approach was on full display when she detailed her choice of floral arrangements and dress.
“I told (the florist) that I didn’t care what the flowers were as long as they were pretty,” Stephanie said.
‘She suggested peonies, because they were in season at the time. She didn’t even know what color the flowers were going to be until the day of the wedding, and they turned out just gorgeous.’
After insisting that Reddick couldn’t see her dress before the big day, her Hollywood fortune was cast aside, as she later admitted, “I found it online for $250 including shipping.”
Lance picked it up at the post office and it fit perfectly. My favorite moment on the wedding day was when my mom saw me in my dress and started crying.’
Lance landed a role in his theater five years after receiving an MFA from the Yale School of Drama.
His breakout performance came in 2001 after he was cast in The Wire, and he would go on to appear in all 60 episodes alongside stars like Dominic West and Idris Elba.
But throughout his time as a Hollywood star, Lance managed to keep his family life private.

The couple spent most of their time in their fancy $2.5 million home, pictured, where they shared two children.

The actor’s body was discovered at his home in Studio City, California, on Friday morning around 9:30 a.m.
Tributes have poured in for the actor following news of his tragic passing, which came while he was in the midst of a promotional tour for the latest installment of his John Wick franchise.
Guardians of the Galaxy actor James Gunn said: “Lance Reddick was an incredibly nice guy and an incredibly talented actor.
This is heartbreaking. My love goes out to all his family, friends and collaborators.’
“A man of great strength and grace,” added Wendell Pierce, his co-star on The Wire.
‘Musician as talented as actor. The epitome of the class. A sudden and unexpected acute and painful duel for our artistic family.
‘Unimaginable suffering for his personal family and loved ones. Good luck my friend. You left your mark here. RIP’
