A two-time national champion boxer died suddenly at just 19 as tributes poured in from his family and friends.

Jude Moore, who represented England at the 2017 EUBC Junior European Championship in Romania, passed away on March 17, his family confirmed.

Moore trained at Downend Boxing in Fishponds, Bristol, and was due to fight in Milan this week.

‘He was an absolute star, irreplaceable. Once you met him, you would never forget him,’ Jude’s head trainer at Downend Boxing, Craig Turner, told the BBC.

“The fact that he came from one of the most deprived boroughs in Britain to do what he did and achieve what he did is incredible.

‘He was outstanding in everything he did and we are devastated. She didn’t burn for long, but she did burn very brightly for as long as she did.
