Rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine broke his silence about his ‘cowardly’ gym beating for the first time on Friday, a day after he learned the suspects had been arrested.
The 26-year-old rapper (born Daniel Hernandez) was attacked by a group of men inside the sauna of an LA Fitness in South Florida last week.
‘First time addressing the situation,” he wrote on Instagram about a jaw-dropping video of his assault. ‘For 2 years I have been walking without security. I’m not saying I promote that BUT now you’ll see I never really hid from anything.’
He stated, “If you’ve ever crossed my path or ever come to my house (you know who you are), you can tell the world, ‘Danny drives his own cars and he’s on his own.'”
In addition, he noted: “Do you know how many of you saw me in real life only at gas stations, supermarkets, restaurants, etc.”

Tekashi 6ix9ine argued: ‘Anyway, what happened here was nothing but cowardly. I’m not mad that this happened.
However, he acknowledged: ‘On the street there are no rules, so I can’t say they were wrong. Obviously it wasn’t fair, but then again the streets don’t have rules.
He added cryptically: ‘Imagine having nothing to do with a situation and feel compelled to make it your business. (Very rare)’ I’m happy to still be here.
The rap star concluded: ‘And I want to say that I love my fans. Thank you. PS I never knew we respected people who jump. When did that become a W?
His statement came a day after news broke that the men who attacked him more than a week ago are now behind bars.
He Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office revealed to TMZ Rafael Medina, Jr., 43, Octavious Medina, 23, and Anthony Maldonado, 25, were arrested for the assault.
There is no indication if the men who attacked him have any connection to the New York gang the rapper set up.
The three attackers were booked Thursday night and also arraigned at the county jail.
Rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine can probably rest a little easier on Thursday, with the news that the men who attacked him, including Rafael Medina, Jr. (pictured left) and Octavious Medina (pictured right) , more than a week now they are behind bars.
The Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office revealed to TMZ that they arrested Rafael Medina, Jr., 43, Octavious Medina, 23, and Anthony Maldonado (pictured), 25, for the assault.
The attack occurred on March 21, and the attackers posted a video of the incident on social media.
“Not in the south, your rat bitch has his ass,” one of the attackers captioned the video.
The rapper was being kicked and punched by multiple men in the video, leaving him bloody and bruised.
Tekashi was said to be a regular at the South Florida gym and never caused trouble with others, often posting photos with fans when they recognized him.
Another report shortly after the incident said LA Fitness employees eventually locked the rapper in a “secure room” after the attack.
He was later taken to the hospital with injuries to his face, back, ribs, and jaw.
The incident came five years after he testified against the Bloods gang and fellow rapper Cardi B in federal court.
He was facing a minimum prison sentence of 47 years and a maximum of life in prison on charges including racketeering, firearms possession, armed robbery and attempted murder, before testifying against his co-defendants.

Regular – Tekashi was said to be a regular at the South Florida gym and never caused trouble with others, often posting photos with fans when they recognized him.
Tekashi eventually served two years in prison, though he was released in April 2020 and ordered to serve out the remainder of his sentence under house arrest.
Since his release, he has done little to keep a low profile, even flashing loads of cash on Instagram.
It was also news in August 2022, his longtime girlfriend, Rachel Wattley. he was arrested in Miami after she hit him multiple times at Miami’s Kiki on the River hotspot.
The rapper was also ejected from Miami’s LoanDepot Park while creating a scene while “very intoxicated,” a source said page six.
“He was very intoxicated and disrupting the experience of other guests,” the source said. “He was drunk, he was drunk and he was out of control.
There were a lot of families there last night and he was bothering people.
He had attended the World Baseball Classic ball game between Puerto Rico and Mexico.
He continues to flaunt money and women on social media, where he has more than 24 million followers, and continues to make music.
