St Patrick’s Day revellers will be feeling green this morning after a night out on the Guinness

As St. Patrick’s Day rolled around again yesterday, beer goblins from all over the world flocked to get their hands on a pint (or more) of Guinness.

The streets of London were busy last night with many revelers draped in Irish flags and dressed in green.

Leicester Square was the center of the festivities as many groups were seen making their way to the famous Irish pub chain Waxy O’Connor’s, well acclaimed for its live music and six-storey location in Soho.

The festivities came as thousands more from Newcastle to New York headed to the city for St. Patrick’s Day.

But we suspect the boozy revelers may be feeling even greener this morning after their night of Irish fun in the heart of the capital.

Leeds and Newcastle are among the other UK cities photographed last night taking part in boozy St Patrick’s Day celebrations.

Meanwhile, the Prince and Princess of Wales enjoyed ‘the black stuff’ at the Irish Guards’ St Patrick’s Day Parade in Aldershot.

Kate attended the event for the first time in her capacity as Colonel of the Irish Guards, following her action-packed day conducting training exercises in snowy conditions last week.

Marking the event on their Instagram account, the pair wrote: ‘It is a true honor to be a Colonel of the Irish Guards whose enthusiasm, pride and dedication – plus a boundless sense of humor – make them so unique.

“From outgoing to incoming Colonel, we will continue to support and defend you in all you do.” Festivities also took place across the island of Ireland, with massive crowds pouring into towns and cities on March 17.

Many more people watched live television for Dublin’s 2023 parade, which featured 4,200 performers, including marching bands, aerial acrobats and vibrant costumes.

Visitors to the parade showed up wearing leprechaun hats, beards dyed green and emerald scarves.

The parade was centered around the theme of ‘ONE’ to ‘shine a light on all the good that surrounds us’ by protecting and embracing global traditions, culture and heritage.

New York City also joined in the festivities, hosting the annual parade that bills itself as the world’s largest and oldest.

The city’s famous Fifth Avenue was awash with greenery as the public took to the park for the first time in two years due to the pandemic.

Others saw pub crawling in the area, with revelers making the most of the Irish holiday.
