Sharon Stone reveals she made $13.5 million less than Michael Douglas on Basic Instinct

Sharon Stone revealed that she earned $13.5 million less than Michael Douglas in her breakout film, 1992’s Basic Instinct.

‘Michael Douglas won $14 million. Now, I was new. I was new and he was a big star,’ she revealed to herself at New York’s 43rd Annual Muse Awards Luncheon Women In Film & Television.

Stone, who claims to have lost half his money in a banking scandal, only made $500,000 from the film.

“We should be thinking a lot more about what women can do,” Stone told the packed ballroom.

Talking about her early career, she said: “When I would go on set, there were 300 men, and my hair, makeup and wardrobe were men, when I was doing sex scenes.” We were all men and me. And sometimes I might ask the wardrobe supervisor, who may be a woman, if she wouldn’t mind staying on set while I did that.’

“Well, things have changed, and now there are women in movies, and I’m really grateful,” she added.

At the same event, the Sliver star spoke about the tragic death of his brother Patrick, 57, just two years after the death of his nephew River.

She spoke to DailyMail at the event about it, saying: “It’s a lot, the impact is just devastating.”

Speaking about her grief process, the actress admitted that she is still struggling to come to terms with heartbreaking losses, saying: “I’m just trying to take each day as it comes.” I just have to try to understand.

The actress noted that she has “worked a lot with death” in her role as an AIDS ambassador, but confided that the impact that the losses of her brother and nephew have had on her is still unbearable.

“Because I’ve worked with AIDS for so long, I’ve worked with death a lot, but the impact is just devastating,” he shared. ‘I’m just trying to take each day as it comes.’

Sharon shocked the world when she took to Instagram to announce the death of her younger brother Patrick in February.

“Hello everyone, this message is to confirm that yes, we did lose my brother, Patrick Joseph Stone, to a heart attack yesterday,” the heartbroken star shared in a short video.

Earlier this month, the Total Recall actress joked that she had lost “half her money” due to the banking crisis while asking for donations at a cancer benefit gala in Beverly Hills.

‘I know that you have to get on and figure out how to send the money via text message is hard. I’m a technical idiot, but I can write a damn check.

‘And right now, that’s also courage, because I know what’s going on. I just lost half my money on this banking thing, and that doesn’t mean I’m not here,” she said with a laugh.

Stone spoke at the Unforgettable Evening Gala, which raises money for the Women’s Cancer Research Fund.

The Oscar nominee was honored for her tireless fundraising efforts. As she begged the wealthy crowd for donations, she joked that there were no excuses not to donate.

Stone fought back tears as she said her friends’ lives were worth more than some of the superfluous ways the Beverly Hills crowd often squandered money.

The lavish event at the Four Seasons hotel was headlined by Maroon 5 and drew a crowd that included socialites, actors and reality TV stars.

Stone also talked about his own health problem; doctors recently found a benign tumor that was bigger than one of her breasts. She was told it had to be cancer, but it wasn’t.

Those mammograms are no fun. And for someone like me who was told I had breast cancer because I had a tumor that was bigger than my breast and they were sure I couldn’t have a tumor without it being cancer, it wasn’t.

“But I went to the hospital and said, ‘If you open me up and it’s cancer, please take both of my breasts,’ because I’m not a person defined by my breasts.”

‘You know, that might sound funny coming from me since everyone has seen them.’
