Michael Thomas appeared to have gotten into a heated confrontation with Panthers defensive end Derrick Brown in a video captured from one of two tunnels at Bank of American Stadium, with Carolina’s star wideout later suggesting that he was ‘set up’.

Footage shared on X, formerly known as Twitter, after the Saints beat the Panthers, 20-17, on Monday Night Football starts with Thomas walking down the tunnel before turning around to shout back at Brown.

Making their respective ways back to their teams’ lock rooms – one of them appears to be right off of a corner of a turn at the end of the ramp – Thomas, 30, and Brown, 25, square up, at which point Brown needs to be restrained from laying his hands on Thomas.

The video ends with security escorting Brown away from Thomas and presumably back to the Panthers locker room.

A day after the confrontation took place, Thomas shared on X: ‘They tried to set me up.’

‘They was playing good snoop doog after I was just trying to do my dance,’ he later added while also sharing three laughing emojis.

It’s unclear if the head-to-head was what Thomas was ultimately referring to.

He caught seven of nine targets for 55 yards in New Orleans’ second win of the season after defeating the Tennessee Titans, 16-15, in Week 1.

Thomas now has 12 catches for 116 yards in two games.

Brown recorded seven tackles and contributed to the Panthers’ pass rush game for four sack on Saints quarterback Derek Carr.

Carolina and New Orleans will matchup once again in Louisiana in Week 14 for an NFC South rivalry game.

Next up: the Saints travel to Green Bay to take on the Packers.

The Panthers head to the Pacific Coast to face the Seattle Seahawks in an attempt to get their first win of the season.
