RHOA star Eva Marcille’s estranged husband vows to win her back after she filed for divorce

Michael Sterling, the estranged husband of Real Housewives of Atlanta star Eva Marcille, says he’s going to try to win her back after her recent divorce filing.

“I’m not going to lose my wife,” Sterling said Jasmine brand in a statement Wednesday amid news of a divorce filing going public. “I’m going to fight for her with every fiber of my being.”

He continued, “I love her and I intend to show her how much I love her and that our love is strong enough to make it to the other side.”

Sterling’s statement came a day later Page six reported that the 38-year-old Los Angeles resident said in court documents that her marriage to the lawyer is “irretrievably broken.”

The America’s Next Top Model alum told the court that “there is no prospect of a reconciliation” as she seeks primary custody of her children with Sterling and child support.

The estranged couple exchanged vows in October 2018 and have had two children: sons Michael, four, and Maverick, three. Marcille is mother to nine-year-old daughter Marley with singer Kevin McCall.

Sterling raised the child and she has used his last name for the past three years, Page Six reported. Sterling posted a photo of the three children in a social media post on Tuesday.

Marcille made it clear in legal documents that she and Sterling are currently divorced, TMZ reported.

Marcille said in court documents that she should have ultimate decision-making power over issues related to the children as their primary caregiver, the outlet reported.

Sterling would have to provide medical and dental costs for the children, Marcille told the court. She said she was looking for an equal split of assets and debts during the marriage, the outlet reported.

Marcille and Sterling initially got engaged on Christmas Day in 2017.

The couple’s parting comes as a shock, as Marcille took to Instagram on Valentine’s Day last month with a few photos of the couple and a clip of them dancing. She wrote, “Happy Valentine’s Day for ever and ever @miketsterling#US.”

Sterling called Marcille his “forever Valentine” in a message, adding, “My forever Valentine. I’m so in love with you there’s nothing else. Happy Saint Valentine’s Day.’
