Kyle Sandilands has admitted he made serious demands on Channel Seven before signing on to be a judge on the reboot of Australian Idol singing competition.

Speaking to the Will & Woody show on KIIS FM, the shock jock insisted that due to his poor health, he needs special comforts — including using a private jet to get off set and back.

“That’s just my daily rider,” the 51-year-old explained of flying around in the jet, adding that he’s also been given special privileges on the radio for “years and years.”

“When Seven knocked on the door I said, ‘Look I still have to do the radio show and if I audition in Perth I have to do the radio show at 3am Perth time and then sit for 16 hours watching flops sing in a goddamn ballroom somewhere in a hotel, that doesn’t sound like fun,” Kyle added.

He further claimed that his A-list co-stars, Harry Connick Jr, Meghan Trainor and Amy Shark should fly economics.

So where do I get the fun? I take the private jet and the others are all lined up on JetStar, waiting for their apple and their tangerine cake or whatever they hand out on those things,” Kyle said.

The radio personality also only gets the best when it comes to accommodation, but claims he needs posh hotel rooms while traveling with his fiancée Tegan Kynaston and their baby son Otto.

“I don’t do standard hotel rooms, I only do the very best suites available in a five star hotel,” he said.

‘I used to be in a caravan park in Gosford for a week and couldn’t care less, but now I’ve got a kid, I’ve got a fiancée, I’ve got the big radio show’.

Kyle added, “I’m not a sane person, look at me, you don’t think, ‘oh, he’s sane, he’s close to death, he’s very close to death'”.

“I have to do all these jobs and when I die, the child will take all the money.”

In 2021, Kyle said his doctor was “very concerned” about him because his “blood pressure is sky high” and warned he could “die instantly.”

Kyle explained that he had tried to eat healthy and even lost six kilograms, from 145 kg to 139 kg.

The radio mogul welcomed his first child in August last year and admitted he never really thought about becoming a dad until he met his fiancée, 37.
