Phil Vickery is seen kissing ex-wife Fern Britton’s best pal

Fern Britton’s ex-husband Phil Vickery was seen kissing his best friend on the street in new footage taken on Wednesday leaving a posh London hotel.

The TV chef, 61, was photographed passionately kissing Lorraine Stanton, 58, who has been close friends with presenter Fern for years, in footage obtained by Sun.

According to the publication, the new couple was on a date and were seen leaving the hotel together with travel bags in their hands.

A close friend of Fern told the Sun: “They look like teenagers in love and that will be very painful for Fern.” Behaving this way in public will feel like a betrayal.

Phil and Lorraine, a former restaurant general manager, couldn’t keep their hands off each other as they reportedly stopped twice on the street to share a kiss.

Lorraine has been close to Fern, 65, for years and they have documented their friendship on Instagram.

Fern and Phil split in 2020 after 20 years together and Phil’s new public love comes weeks after the reality star revealed he struggled with the breakup of his marriage.

A source said: ‘Phil and Lorraine making out in the street like this will be heartbreaking for poor Fern. They look like teenagers in love and that will be very painful for her.’

“They are two of the most important people in her life and it will feel like a betrayal if they behave this way in public.”

Phil was last seen on television on Tuesday morning, serving up a tray of baked sausages during a This Morning segment with Take That’s Mark Owen.

The media outlet reported that Phil stayed in a flat after filming and was seen walking around the capital with Lorraine the next morning.

Just two months ago in July, Fern opened up about how she wished she could have ‘persevered’ in her marriage, during a new interview with Premium Magazine.

Fern said she “doesn’t want to be the breakup poster girl” and explained that many couples experience their relationship coming to a natural end.

Reflecting on their harsh but amicable split, he said: ‘This new chapter has come at the right time for me. However, I don’t want to be the poster girl for the breakup, because a lot of people go through the same thing.

‘Often children leave home and you look at each other and say, ‘Oh, where do we go from here?’ I just wish I was the kind of person who could have persevered with it, but I couldn’t,” she explained.

The couple share a daughter, Winnie, 20, while Fern is the mother of twins Jack and Harry, and daughter Grace, whom she shares with ex-husband Clive Jones.

Separated: After the couple called off their 20-year marriage in 2020, she also said, “I don’t want to be the poster girl for the breakup” (pictured together in 2007)

She and Phil ended their long-term marriage after realizing it had “run its course” as they were left living on their own when their brood blew up the nest.

Fern previously explained how hard it is to ‘bounce back’ from a divorce, sharing in March that ‘rebounding is hard’.

And it sounds like she’s still walking away from dating for the time being, explaining how important her own space is.

The TV personality told Prima: ‘I’m not considering dating at the moment. I haven’t been seeing anyone and no one has approached me, which is also good.

“If someone came along who was charming and kind and we didn’t have to live together, if he had his life and I had mine, that would be perfect.

Concluding: “But on the other hand, life is pretty perfect right now and I’m happy with my company, so meeting someone would just be icing on the cake.”

Fern announced her split from Phil in January 2020, with both tweeting concurring remarks: “After 20+ happy years together, [we] We have decided to go our separate ways. We will always share a great friendship and our beautiful children.

‘We would appreciate our privacy being respected at this time. Thank you for your continued kindness and support. [sic]’
