Roma attacker Nicolo Zaniolo has reportedly turned down a move to Bournemouth after telling his agent he has no interest in continuing negotiations with the Premier League club.

Zaniolo is understood to be set to leave Italy this month with Bournemouth among a number of clubs keen to acquire his services.

However, the Cherries will have to look elsewhere with Zaniolo’s agent stating that the player has rejected his proposal, according to Tuttomercatoweb.

The relegation-threatened side are the only club to have met Roma’s asking price, offering £30m plus add-ons.

Tuttomercatoweb claims that Zaniolo’s agent, Claudio Vigorelli, met with Bournemouth representatives in Italy on Friday, but the talks will go no further.

This leaves the player something of a loose end, as AC Milan and Tottenham have already backed out of a move due to the asking price.

The 23-year-old is in the midst of his fifth season at Roma, where he has scored 24 goals in 128 appearances.
