Luck of the Irish! Niall Horan gives a St. Patrick’s Day performance for President Joe Biden at the White House – while the unlikely duo even laugh

Niall Horan spent St. Patrick’s Day far from home this year as he headed to the White House to perform for President Joe Biden.

The singer, who hails from Mullingar, gave a special performance in the East Room of the residence as the American politician gave a shamrock presentation to celebrate the holiday.

Biden seemed pleased with the performance and put an arm around the hitmaker as the pair appeared to be laughing lightly with each other.

Niall took to Instagram from Washington DC and shared that he is “St. Patrick’s Day could not celebrate alone’.

President Biden got involved in the action, jumping into the singer’s video and saying, “And so am I, I’m here in the White House, I hang out here from time to time.”

Niall set up shop for a St. Patrick’s Day plaque and donned a cream shirt and dark vest for the performance while armed with his guitar.

The president later joined him on the small stage, hugged him as he beamed and addressed the intimate audience as the unlikely duo seemed to get along like a house on fire.

To get in the mood with a green tie, he hosted Irish Taoiseach Leo Varadkar to celebrate the day.

Addressing the audience at the event, President Biden shared, “Together, Ireland and America have written ourselves a brighter future.

‘The United States has benefited greatly from waves of immigration from Ireland – the island of Ireland, which helped form this nation: the Scots-Irish of the 18th century; the Irish who came in the 19th century, just like my ancestors, during the famine and after.”

As he also included in the lengthy speech, “Growing up Irish-American, the pride that spoke to both sides of the Atlantic gave me heart and soul drawing on the old and the new.”

Niall also shared a short video on social media of the event, saying to the camera, “Hi guys, it’s me. I want to wish you a very happy St. Patrick’s Day from the White House, from me.”

The politician panned the camera to see a waiting President Bident, beamed and added, “And so am I, I’m here in the White House, I hang out here from time to time.”
