Australia’s most wanted man has walked through Sydney airport in handcuffs after being arrested while allegedly trying to flee the country in the hull of a yacht.
Mark Horne, 32, had been on the run for months when he was reportedly found trapped between fuel tanks and pipes on the Sy Lady Azzura in Darwin’s Cullen Bay Marina last Wednesday as the boat headed for a destination in Asia.
It is understood Horne was wearing the same shirt he was arrested in when he was escorted through Sydney Airport by NSW police officers at around 6pm Tuesday, following an expeditionary hearing in Darwin last week.
The motorcyclist, from NSW, was out on bail when police claimed he cut off his electronic surveillance bracelet in October.
He is then believed to have fled Sydney on a private jet from Bankstown Airport.
Police believe he flew into a regional airport before heading to Queensland.

Horne was awaiting trial for the alleged non-fatal shooting of a lorry driver and the theft of $550,000 during a robbery in the NSW town of Lithgow in 2020.
His bail conditions included reporting to police daily, not handling rebel bikes, observing a 9 p.m. curfew, providing $50,000 bond, and wearing an ankle bracelet.
Horne is said to have left his home in Arncliffe, south Sydney, in an Uber around 6:15 a.m. on Oct. 21 and cut his ankle bracelet in the back seat before chartering the plane from Bankstown.

His disappearance sparked a nationwide manhunt with NSW Police working with counterparts in other states and at the federal level.
Horne will appear in court in Sydney on Wednesday.
NT Police Chief Matt Hollamby said last Wednesday’s arrest represented “excellent work” by a joint organized crime task force including the Australian Criminal Intelligence Commission, Australian Border Force and Federal Police.
Australian Border Force Commander Budhy Tanddo said it shows how well different agencies are working together to fight organized crime.
