Representative Lauren Boebert didn’t hold back when it came to criticizing Democrat Senator John Fetterman’s attire during a Senate press briefing on Thursday.
The Colorado Republican was so outraged that she took to Twitter to express her disapproval, calling Fetterman’s appearance “really inappropriate.”
She argued that such attire was inappropriate for any job, especially given the limited number of individuals elected to serve in the Senate.
John Fetterman redefined Casual Friday on Thursday mornings. It is really inappropriate for someone to appear like that for any job let alone one that only 100 people have been chosen for. There’s just no excuse for that,’ she scolded.
While appearing at the press conference, Fetterman was seen wearing a white Carharrt hoodie, gray shorts and running shoes as he discussed the progress of debt limit negotiations.

By comparison, his four Democratic colleagues were all dressed in suits, ties and more formal footwear.
But to regular followers of Fetterman, it would have come as no surprise to see him in such casual clothes.
During his time as mayor of Braddock and during his campaign for the Pennsylvania Senate, he could often be seen in a hoodie and shorts.
Fetterman only recently returned to the Senate after a six-week hospitalization for clinical depression.
During that time, he was also seen several times wearing a hoodie and shorts.
