The relationship between Kylian Mbappé and Neymar at Paris Saint-Germain ‘has gone from cold to polarized’ this season in a serious threat to team harmony.
Mbappe reportedly doesn’t want the Brazilian in the squad at all, while the 30-year-old Neymar “has been amazed at the influence the 23-year-old French striker has been given.”
That has been especially the case since PSG broke the bank to persuade Mbappe to snub Real Madrid and sign a contract extension over the summer.

Reports in France suggest that Mbappé does not understand why Neymar is at PSG, while the Brazilian is surprised by the influence his younger team-mate wields.
L’Equipe Report that the relationship between the two has deteriorated rapidly since the beginning of the season.
They say Mbappé would not have objected to the sale of Neymar, who has been with the French champions since 2017, during the summer when new football adviser Luis Campos reshuffled the team.
However, that exit did not happen and Neymar has become convinced that Mbappé was a driving force in trying to persuade management to sell him.
While the two players may smile in public to pretend all is well, and may celebrate goals together, behind the scenes things have reportedly gotten very cold.
Lionel Messi has been acting as something of a mediator to keep PSG’s season on track, L’Equipe reports.
While neither player directly addressed the situation during recent internationals, much can be read between the lines.

There was an on-field dispute between the two over penalty rights during PSG’s 5-2 win over Montpellier in August.
Mbappé had missed a penalty earlier in the match and thought he would get a second chance when PSG conceded another.
The couple continue to celebrate goals together and maintain a cordial relationship in public.
However, Neymar took over and converted from 12 meters. Later, Mbappé would score a goal, but refused to celebrate, which frustrated his teammates.
Both players are in excellent goalscoring form with Neymar netting 10 times in all competitions in the opening weeks of the season and Mbappé nine.
His goals have been important in an unbeaten start to Ligue 1 with PSG enjoying a two-point lead at the top ahead of this weekend’s home game with Nice.
They have also opened their Champions League campaign with wins over Juventus and Maccabi Haifa.
