Racing royalty Kate Waterhouse braves Sydney’s heatwave to wear a woolen Fendi suit to the Longines Golden Slipper with her outfit costing a whopping $17,000
Racing queen Kate Waterhouse doesn’t let the weather get in the way of her fashionable outfit choices.
Despite the sweltering heat in Sydney, the horse racing reporter, 39, rocked out to the Longines Golden Slipper Day at Rosehill Gardens on Saturday in a long-sleeved wool suit.
The daughter of famed horse trainer Gai Waterhouse looked as stylish as ever in the gray Fendi suit, which is valued at an eye-watering $9,550.
It has a wool dark gray blazer with long sleeves, light gray silk sleeves and a silk wrap belt.
At the bottom she put on the matching dark gray wool trousers with wide legs.

The interesting outfit also featured a long silk train that touched the ground, adding to the heavily layered look.
The fashionista paired the luxury suit with a yellow Serpenti East-West Bulgari bag, which can be had for $4,900.
On her feet, she appeared to be wearing Valentino Garavani black patent leather platform pumps, which cost $2,810.

She kept all eyes on the Fendi outfit and kept accessories to a minimum with oversized gold framed sunglasses and a thin black headband.
She wore her long blonde locks down and straight and tucked one lace behind her ear, sporting a tiny pearl earring.
For her make-up, the fashionista opted for a winged black eyeliner with a deep nude lip.
The Longines Golden Slipper Day is one of the biggest days on Sydney’s racing calendar and it often sees the biggest celebrities and socialites descend on Rosehill Gardens.
On Saturday afternoon, Kate was joined by Today host Karl Stefanovic, Bachelor stars Jimmy Nicholson and Holly Kingston, Lucia Hawley and Home and Away star Matt Evans, among others.
