Hunter Biden sues laptop repairman for invasion

Hunter Biden is suing the owner of a Wilmington computer repair shop for invasion of privacy after he turned over the contents of Biden’s laptop to allies of former President Donald Trump.

John Paul Mac Isaac had previously sued Biden, but in a counterclaim filed Friday morning in US District Court in Delaware, lawyers for the first son said the merchant had no legal right to copy and distribute Private information.

Hunter Biden’s attorneys requested a jury trial to determine damages and asked Mac Isaac to return all data pertaining to President Joe Biden’s son.

‘As a result of Mac Isaac’s illegal settlement and his conspiracy with others, Mr. Biden’s personal data was made available to third parties and ultimately to the general public, which is highly offensive and damaging to Mr. Biden and your reputation. said the suit. “The purpose of invading Mr. Biden’s privacy and disseminating his data had no legitimate purpose other than to cause Mr. Biden harm and embarrassment.”

The suit comes after Mac Isaac sued Biden last year, alleging that he had been defamed by the first son’s claims that the repair shop owner had illegally accessed his data.

Mac Isaac maintains that Biden abandoned the laptop at the Wilmington store and therefore became his property.

Mac Isaac also sued CNN, Politico, the Biden campaign and Democratic Rep. Adam Schiff, who previously chaired the House Intelligence Committee.

The contents of the laptop have become an embarrassment for President Joe Biden’s White House, with images and videos showing Hunter Biden using drugs and having sex.

The contents have also piqued the interest of Republican congressional investigators, who are looking into Hunter Biden’s foreign trade deals with partners in Ukraine and China.

House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer, a Kentucky Republican, has said his investigation is into “influence peddling of the Biden family.”

On Thursday, Comer’s committee released information saying Hallie Biden, Beau Biden’s widow who dated Hunter after Beau’s death, received a share of $3 million in cash from China.

As those investigations have heated up, the legal team surrounding Hunter Biden has gone on the offensive.

Last month, Biden’s lawyer, Abbe Lowell, asked the Justice Department to investigate former Trump strategist Steve Bannon, campaign attorney and former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, Giuliani’s attorney and Mac Isaac.

Using passages from Mac Isaac’s book, American Injustice: My Battle to Expose the TruthLowell noted that the repairman sent a copy of the laptop’s data to Giuliani’s attorney, Robert Costello, who gave it to the former mayor, who at the time was pushing discredited theories about the younger Biden.

From there, Giuliani pitched the laptop story to a New York Post reporter, who broke the story in October 2020, and to Bannon, the letter said.

Hunter Biden never consented to the sharing of his personal information, Lowell argued.

“This failed political dirty trick directly resulted in the exposure, exploitation and manipulation of Mr. Biden’s private and personal information,” the letter stated. “Politicians and the media have used this data that has been illegally accessed, copied, distributed and manipulated to distort the truth and harm Mr. Biden.”

The letter was the first time Hunter Biden acknowledged that it was his data that was found and distributed to members of the media.
