Gwyneth Paltrow reveals her one regret about being a foster mom to husband Brad Falchuk

Gwyneth Paltrow has shared her biggest regret about being a stepfather to her husband Brad Falchuk’s children in a new interview.

The 50-year-old actress shares daughter Apple, 18, and son, Moses, 16, with ex-husband Chris Martin, and is stepfather to Isabella, 18, and Brody, 16. Husband of 51 years.

Both Paltrow and Falchuk opened in the goop podcastwhich was recorded just before his 50th birthday on Tuesday.

Paltrow and Falchuk married in 2018 after dating for four years, and although she had raised children of her own, she still had questions about adoptive parenting.

‘There just isn’t a playbook on how to do it. I think there’s this archetypal evil stepmom and this inference that it’s going to be a tense thing, so I went into cute hooks like, “Oh my God, you can only do one wrong thing,” she started.

She admitted that ‘tremor’ was her, ‘a regret’, although at some point she found her voice and that ‘changed everything’.

‘However, many years ago I was like, ‘Fuck this, these are my kids.’ I love them. I’m not going to like being afraid to discipline them,” Gwyneth shared.

‘If someone asked me for advice on that, I’d just say from day one, really treat him like your son. I wish I had done it sooner,” Paltrow said.

Her husband Falchuk insisted that she is a ‘spectacular stepmother’ to their children.

“He loves them and spends time with them and all that. So all I have to do is be ‘dad’ when I’m the father of the house,” he added.

He also talked about turning 40 a decade ago, adding, “When I was 40, I think I was really having a hard time turning 40.”

‘I had a flip-out about physical aging. I went to a dermatologist in London and had the worst Botox ever, like I was panicking,” she said.
