Everton are close to signing Arnaut Danjuma from Villarreal after the midfielder completed his medical on Saturday.
Frank Lampard’s side have been chasing the former Bournemouth man for a while and are set to complete a loan deal this week.
Everton have battled interest from the Cherries, while Nottingham Forest were also interested, but Danjuma made the decision to move to Merseyside on Friday.

Toffees boss Frank Lampard has been clamoring for reinforcements to help his team.
Lampard is eager to add more attacking options to his squad after the Dutchman’s arrival, particularly as interest in Anthony Gordon increases.
Gordon was of great interest to Chelsea in the summer but is now being hunted by Newcastle who are looking to maintain their momentum to finish in the top four.
Everton have been surrounded by unrest at the club with fans protesting against the board of late, and Gordon was involved in an altercation with fans last week.

However, the former midfielder is at risk and will learn his fate on Monday as owner Farhad Moshiri seeks his replacement despite insisting it is “not his decision” if Lampard is sacked.
