Drunk passenger stole bus while driver got off and left ‘trail of destruction’ on six-mile joyride before crashing into 17-year-old’s Audi

A ‘drunken passenger’ left a ‘trail of destruction’ after they stole a bus for a six-mile pleasure ride before plowing into a 17-year-old’s Audi.
The ‘drunken’ perpetrator jumped behind the wheel of the bus when the driver stopped on Monday evening to get out and make a phone call.
He then drove the vehicle for a few miles before crashing into rows of cars and then into an Audi A3 with the 17-year-old driver inside.
The bus was later found abandoned at a railway station in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire.

A 43-year-old man was later arrested in connection with the drunken escapade.
Travis O’Dell, 17, from Milton Keynes, was in the driver’s seat of his Audi when the bus hit.
His A3 was written off by the crash that happened while he was driving to meet some friends at 6:25pm that evening.

After crashing into the vehicle, the bus drove off and was later found abandoned at a railway station in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire.

The bus slammed into the front of Travis’ silver car at about 40 miles per hour.
The bus then veered off the Walton Park roundabout and ended up in a grassy embankment.
Fortunately, he got away with just a little back pain, but he lost the car he bought two weeks ago for £2,300.
He had started saving for it eight months ago before passing his driving test in October.

Despite the damage to the car, Travis managed to walk away with only some back pain and no other injuries
The bus was stolen from a Tesco bus stop on Tongwell Street in Milton Keynes.
Police eventually found the bus parked six miles away at Milton Keynes Central Station.
A 43-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession of a vehicle, driving under the influence and dangerous driving and taken into custody the same evening.
He has since been released on bail until April 16.
Thames Valley Police Roads Policing team posted on social media later that night: ‘When people say ‘when you’ve been drinking take the bus’ it’s not meant literally.
This bus in Milton Keynes was stolen by a drunk passenger earlier in the evening and left a trail of destruction as it collided with numerous other vehicles before being stopped.
Fortunately, no one was injured in this incident and the other passengers managed to flee the bus when it was stolen. The bus driver was also unharmed in the theft.’
