DJ Khaled is best known for his music, but has recently been taken by a slightly quieter effort.
The 10-time Grammy-nominated producer recently took up golf, fell in love with it, and has lost 15 pounds. through sport, according to People.
His Instagram profile now has golf peppered with videos of his skillful swing and photos of him gracing the greens.
The Grammy winner, who plays with a handicap of 14, has gotten the whole family involved, with his sons Asahd, 6, and Aalam, 3, picking up the sport and building a field in his backyard.
It seems like golf is constantly on his mind, so much so that he wakes up shouting his new catchphrase: ‘Let’s play golf!’

The sport, known for its tradition, rules and stifling, is perhaps an odd choice for the hitting sensation, but Khaled has taken the golf world by storm.
He said he has many people from all over the world calling his phone to set up a tee time, including two-time Grand Slam winner John Daly.
He even revealed that Daly gifted him a novelty cover of a lion head with Rasta-inspired dreadlocks.
“I have a trillion text messages on my phone right now,” he said. “Everyone wants to play, from Miami to Scotland, from England to Barbados, from Jamaica to the Bahamas, from California to Las Vegas.”
He revealed that people from all over the world called his phone to schedule a tee time.
The 47-year-old even got his two sons Asahd, 6, and Aalam, 3, involved in the sport.
And it’s no surprise when a round with Khaled sounds like fun and consists of “eating a cheeseburger, taking a break, and shooting another nine holes,” according to People.
His new passion hasn’t distracted him from his old one either. In fact, he has helped.
Walking the streets helps clear Khaled’s mind, ready to hit the studio with ideas for a new album to follow up on 2022’s God Did, which received five Grammy nominations.
“When I finish playing golf and walk into the studio, my mind is clear,” he added.
“On this new album, a lot of my big ideas came from me sitting on the golf course or walking down the street and just thinking. A lot of my great ideas come when I’m getting in the car on the way home from a beautiful day of golf, and I’m driving home and I’m like, ‘Man, I’ve got a great idea. I’m going to leave it in the studio.”
Khaled took up golf two years ago as the pandemic lockdown began to ease and he finally accepted an offer of a round from his Miami neighbors.
He also plays the course in style and has already amassed an impressive collection of golf clothing and equipment.

The pounding sensation is fully equipped, taking the whole team to the field.

He also teased a new golf-focused TV show with the help of Diddy and actor Mark Wahlberg. In a series of videos posted to Instagram, Khaled was seen with Puff playing a round of golf when Bad Boy’s boss revealed that they already filmed the pilot episode.
