Oscar-winning director Danny Boyle announced Thursday that he will direct a hip-hop version of The Matrix for the inaugural show at a new £186m arts venue called Factory International in Manchester.

Free your Mind – from October 13, 2023 to November 5, 2023 – is described as a massive immersive performance with hundreds of local dancers and participants.

The Free Your Mind poster features the character Neo surrounded by Mr. Smith-esque agents for the production, which was produced by special arrangement with Warner Bros Theater Ventures.
