‘A much better outfit choice’: Dancing On Ice’s Ekin-Su Culculoglu opts for a more conservative dress when she returns to the rink – following last week’s 112 Ofcom complaints
Dancing On Ice 2023’s John Fashanu became the first star in the line-up to be eliminated from the ITV series on Sunday night.
And in the episode, Ekin-Su Culculoglu, 29, opted for a more traditional outfit as she returned to the rink for the dreaded skate-off judges saw her save from the England footballer, 60.
The Love Island star appeared to want to let her skating do the talking and slipped into a sparkly purple dress after last week’s cheeky bodysuit resulted in 112 Ofcom complaints.

One fan wrote on Twitter, “Ekin-Su is effortlessly beautiful and made a much better outfit choice this week. John [Fashanu] did well for a 60-year-old novice, but the right decision was made’.
While others added, “That dress is gorgeous!” and “Congratulations, you looked beautiful tonight.”

Judges Ashley Banjo, Oti Mabuse, Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean all agreed and voted for Ekin-Su to remain in the competition because she incorporated “more technical skating into her routine.”
When asked by host Holly Willoughby whether he enjoyed the experience or not, John replied: ‘Oh it was amazing’, before saying it was just like the FA Cup final again.

Before the wardrobe malfunction Ekin-Su opened up about her troubled debut to presenter Holly Willoughby, 41, the uproar left her in tears.

holly said: “I just want to know how you are. It’s been a tough week knowing you have to face the skate-off tonight.’
Ekin replied, ‘I’m not going to lie. I was very upset the last two days and I literally doubted myself.”
She added, “I’m just like you know what to stop this crying Ekin, you’re strong, accept what the judges say, work hard, and I’m here today.”

The Love Island star created a memorable scene from the ITV2 reality show in which she crawled on the floor, sparking more than 100 Ofcom complaints from viewers who thought the routine was too racy for the family-friendly series.
She said before the skate-off, “I’m not going to lie. I was really upset when I thought what did I do wrong, but I am strong, I have to work hard and prove myself.”
