A cruel boyfriend texted his ex “haha I won” after leaving her paralyzed in a high-speed car accident, it was alleged.
Kenny Blake, 25, has been jailed for more than four years after an incident in which his then-partner had to fight for her life.
Blake continued to send harassing messages to Bryony Court, 29, as she spent 11 months in hospital recovering from the crash – even insulting her for being paralyzed.
Bryony said, “I was in the hospital and he was absolutely terrorizing me. I felt like I lost all hope because of the abusive messages he sent me.

“He told me ‘hahaha I won, you’re paralyzed’.”
In other posts, Blake insulted Byrony’s ostomy bag by telling her to use a “s*** bag” now.
He said to her, ‘You are a snail. You can’t even open your legs now that nobody wants you.’
But despite his bitter insults, Bryony – whose spine was severed in the crash and had to be resuscitated twice – vowed to move on after his imprisonment.
She said, “I have wonderful family and friends and I am truly loved. I don’t hate Kenny. I wouldn’t give him that power over me. I don’t even think about him.

Bryony moved back in with her mother after her family spent £200,000 to adapt their home to accommodate her wheelchair.
Despite being paralyzed from the waist down, she works out daily at the gym and hopes to compete in a triathlon.

A court heard that the uninsured Blake was seen driving with a bare tire in poor weather conditions while overtaking cars on blind corners.
Prosecutor James Coutts said the car then crashed into a wall at temporary traffic lights during the terrifying drive in October 2021.
Victim Bryony suffered catastrophic injuries in the crash on the A496 towards Dolgellau, North Wales, breaking all her ribs and puncturing both lungs.
She said her spine was severed “like I was cut in half” as she fought for her life.
The court heard Blake was being interviewed by officers after the crash when he claimed he had aquaplaned.
He also lied that a 16-year-old boy, who was a passenger, had been behind the wheel – and the innocent teen was arrested but later released.
She was rushed to hospital by a passerby after there was no signal at the scene to call an ambulance, it was also heard.
Bryony was taken to nearby Dolgellau Hospital before being transferred to the trauma unit in Stoke on Trent where she underwent operations on the heart and for a broken spinal cord.
It was said she was unaware that Blake had been disqualified from driving at the time of the crash.

Blake, of Trawsfynydd, Gwynedd, pleaded guilty to causing serious injury by dangerous driving and driving after disqualification.
Judge Nicola Saffman said Blake had fled the hospital and not been arrested for four days.
She said, “I do not accept that you have shown sincere repentance.
“It’s the most serious type of driving in the given circumstances that causes serious injury.”
Upon his release, Blake was sentenced to four years and three months in prison and banned from driving for ten years.
Victim Bryony called the sentence “poxy,” adding, “He never said sorry.”
Following the sentencing PC Dan Owen of North Wales Police said: ‘Blake, who had already been disqualified from driving, showed appalling disregard for the safety of others while driving dangerously that night.
“This case highlights the devastating consequences of such poor driving and the serious, often life-changing consequences it can have for other road users.
“This outcome does not change the injuries the victim now has to live with, but this has been a thorough investigation with a punishment that hopefully includes a warning to others who chose to drive in a dangerous manner that they will be brought to justice.” ‘ .’
