A detached house has raised the eyebrows of house seekers – after they noticed the bed was pointed straight at the toilet.
The property, in the small village of Rogiet, in Monmouthshire, South East Wales, is listed for £429,950.
Photos show a wonderfully clean house with a well-kept garden and paving, a spacious gray living room, white kitchen, pantry and dining area.
It also has two bathrooms – one downstairs and one upstairs.
But an entire bathroom suite looks directly onto the double bed in the master bedroom.
Urine the master bedroom: The disastrous layout of this bedroom, where the double bed is directly opposite the toilet, sink and shower, means you can follow your significant other’s entire bathroom routine from start to finish
The property, in the small village community of Rogiet, in Monmouthshire, South East Wales, is listed for sale for £429,950
Bizarre photos show how the toilet seat, sink and double shower are clearly visible from the bed, and there’s even a row of carpet running all the way down to the toilet.
It means that the sink is now just a few feet from the TV and anyone doing their business can sit and watch someone take a nap.
It seems whoever built the upstairs master en suite simply forgot to add a wall.
According to realtors, the master bedroom has a so-called en suite that is ‘open to bedroom’.
From this angle the master bedroom en suite looks modern and new with a huge double shower – if you look the other way there is a serious lack of privacy
Elsewhere in the Rogiet building is a lovely spacious gray living room with lots of light through the window
On Twitter, one person joked, “I have an AMAZING property for you, Twitter. At first glance, everything seems normal, very modern.
‘Sure, they’ve turned over the yard and put in that hideous plastic. And the large bathroom gives Wine Mom. But it’s the master bedroom where things get DIFFERENT.
“How can you open this cabinet without breaking the TV?”
Then there’s the bathroom. THE SHOWER IS IN THE BEDROOM. THE TOILET LOOKS AT THE BED. NOTHING BUT COLD EYE CONTACT WITH YOUR PARTNER LIKE YOU S***.
In addition to the dining room, the detached house has a modern, large kitchen
Apart from the toilet overlooking the double bedroom, there can be no complaints about this dining room that flows into the kitchen and living room
‘Apart from the TERRIBLE LACK OF PRIVACY this toilet and shower setup offers, that’s a toilet and shower ON CARPET.
“The bedroom will fill with steam, the wonderful smell of your toilet time will fill the air, and the room will be covered in mold.”
“Perfect, no notes.
“Thanks to @mangmangmang I’ve realized the true horror of this, it’s like one of those monstrously exposed bathrooms from nightmares.”
Another attractive feature of the house is the well-kept garden and paved area outside
To avoid, as one Twitter user put it, “stinking in the bedroom,” you could use one of the two other available bathrooms (above) in the house
One replied: ‘Nooooo!!! Dear Goddamn! What if one of you stinks? No candles that solve that!’
And another added, “Ewwwww.”
A description from real estate agents Davis & Sons calls the four-bedroom property “simply stunning.”
It adds that the house has been ‘completely renovated to a high specification’, has a ‘landscaped rear garden with hot tub’, ‘garage and driveway for three vehicles’ and is based on a ‘cul-de-sac in modern development’.
It adds: ‘The village of Rogiet offers convenience stores and primary education and the nearby larger town of Caldicot offers a wider range of amenities.
‘It also has excellent commuter facilities in close proximity to Severn Tunnel Junction rail station and the M4 and M48 motorways.’
